Founder and Owner

I am a mom of 2, Landon and Parker. My career as a professional dancer and artist has led me to teaching kids for over 20 years. I have led numerous CPS after school programs, summer camps, dance and theatre camps, and professional development seminars. My other baby is Free Mvmt Shop, a movement studio that was the springboard for BASH. I love to create, connect community and bring joy to people of all ages.

Hi! I’m Karen, I’ve been working with kids for the last ten years. Now as a part of the BASH team I am the yoga instructor. I love reading, storytime, yoga, and riding my bike through the city.

My name is Nat, and I am so excited to be a part of the BASH team! I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Trombone Performance and Italian. I have spent multiple years working as a virtual English teacher through VIPKID, and prior to joining BASH, helped run an after school program in the Chicago suburbs. I love all things outdoors, watching and playing sports, and of course working with kids!

Hi! I’m Em, an artist and graphic designer from Chicago! I graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Studio Art. Some other favorites of mine include dancing, reading, playing guitar, and baking. I love all things surrounding creativity and self-expression, and I feel honored to be able to share my passions and love for creating with the kids at BASH!

My name is Fayelicia! I recently graduated from Gordon College in Wenham MA and received my Bachelors in Theatre Arts & Psychology. I love to read, write, act, and drink coffee! I love being at BASH; I believe in the program the more I get to know it and I am so happy to be here!

Hi, I’m Alejandra! I’m thrilled to join the team here at BASH. I hold a Master’s in Hispanic Literature from UIC and have been teaching for the past five years. Originally from Colombia, I’m passionate about aerial dance, I love being in the air. I enjoy staying active, savoring good food, dancing, reading, taking care of my plants and soaking up the sun and warm weather. Can’t wait to experience the world from the kids’ unique perspective.

Hi, I’m Sabrina and I’m overjoyed to be a part of the BASH team! I graduated from New York University with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Business, Entertainment, Media and Technology. When I’m not sharing my love for movement, play and creativity with BASH, I perform, teach and choreograph dance throughout Chicago. In my free time, I enjoy baking for my loved ones and finding creative ways to paint my nails.

Hello! I’m Kendyl and I am thrilled to be part of the BASH team after years of nannying and working with children. I am a Chicago based theatre artist, originally from Colorado. My free time is usually filled with outdoor activities, watching movies, and hanging with my cats.

Hi, I am Emily! I graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Art in Dance. Recently I made the decision to move to Chicago because of my love for dance. Along the way, I have found a passion for working in childcare. In my free time I enjoy all things art, from visual to performing arts. I am thankful to be a part of the BASH team and create memories with the kids.
