Owner, Movement Director

Hi, welcome to BASH, a wonderful place for kids to build, play and connect. I am a mom of 2, Landon and Parker. My career as a professional dancer and artist has led me to teaching kids for over 20 years. I have led numerous CPS after school programs, summer camps, dance and theatre camps, and professional development seminars. My other baby is Free Mvmt Shop, a movement studio that was the springboard for BASH. I love to create, connect community and bring joy to people of all ages.

Hi, my name is Ru (they/them)! I am so happy to be a part of the BASH Team! I graduated from Kalamazoo College with a BA in Creative Writing and Critical Theory in 2016, and earned my MSW with a specialization in Children & Families and Group Work from Loyola University of Chicago in 2021. I love to try new things, and I enjoy reading, running, creating, and spending time with my friends and family. I have worked with kids for over 10 years, and am constantly amazed and inspired by the energy, curiosity, and spirit of kids and their communities.

Hi! I'm Karen I've been working with kids for the last ten years. Now as part of Bash team I am the yoga instructor. I love reading, story time, yoga and ride my bike through the city.

My name is Nat, and I am so excited to be a part of the BASH team! I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Trombone Performance and Italian. I have spent multiple years working as a virtual English teacher through VIPKID, and prior to joining BASH, helped run an after school program in the Chicago suburbs. I love all things outdoors, watching and playing sports, and of course working with kids!

Sierra Coachman (she/her) is enthusiastic to be a part of the BASH Kids Club team and sharing her passion for creativity and play with the students of Hamilton Elementary.

She is an actor who received her BFA in Acting with a minor in Africana studies at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). When she is not acting, Sierra is fangirling over Avatar: The Last Airbender or scrolling through Facebook Marketplace.

Hi! My name is Em (they/them) and I’m part of the BASH team! I’m an artist and graphic designer from Chicago. I graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Studio Art. Some other favorites of mine include dancing, reading, playing guitar, and baking. I love all things surrounding creativity and self-expression, and I feel honored to be able to share my passions and love for creating with the kids at BASH!

Hi, I’m Victoria! I’m currently studying computer science with a focus in programming. I’ve previously taught children’s swim and coached a middle school swim team. I have a passion for making learning enviornments as fun as possible. I’m super glad to be able to be a part of your child’s journey!

My name is Fayelicia! I recently graduated from Gordon College in Wenham MA and received my Bachelors in Theatre Arts & Psychology. I love to read, write, act, and drink coffee! Even though I am new, I love being at BASH, I believe in the program the more I get to know it and I am so happy to be here!
